An Indian Firm named Addverb Technologies has announced to build the world's largest robotic manufacturing unit in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It is going to be the largest robot manufacturing company in India. 


This firm has been sponsored by Reliance Industries Limited which invested around $132 million into Addverb Technologies. This is a very big leap for the robotic market in India.


Occupied Area:-


The company will be built across 60,000 square meters of area with a production capacity of over 60,000 robots every year of different specifications and categories namely Autonomous Mobile Robot(Dynamo), Sorting Robot(Zippy), Carton Shuttle(Quadron), Pallet Shuttle(Cruiser), as said by the CEO and founder of the company 'Sangeet Kumar'. This company will be going to create employment opportunities for over 3,000 people all over the country.  (Source: Economic Times)

Addverb Technologies is located in sector-156, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201310. Noida is well known for the industries it has and the development of technology. The first manufacturing unit of Samsung is also in Noida. The factory will be designed in such a flexible way that the manufacturing capacity can be scaled up to 10 times in order to manufacture only a certain type of robot. 



Future of the company:-


->According to a recent study, the global warehouse robotics market size is expected to grow from $4.7 billion in 2021 to $9.1 billion by 2026.


->Addverb has provided warehouse automation solutions to various companies such as Unilever, Reliance, Flipkart, Amazon, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Marico, Dabur, and many more.


->Addverb has also announced its expansion plans in the US market, by appointing Mark Messina as CEO of its US operations. 


The robot that is going to be manufactured:-


1. Autonomous Mobile Robot(Dynamo):


It is a type of robot that can understand and moves through its environment independently. Their predecessors are Autonomous guided vehicles(AGVs) which rely on tracks or predefined paths and often require operator oversight. AMRs use a very sophisticated set of sensors, artificial intelligence, and machine learning for path planning to interpret and navigate through their environment. 




2. Sorting Robot(Zippy):-

 

They can be defined as a fleet of fast-moving robots that work according to collision avoidance technology. In this technology, robots read the bar codes of the material they are sorting and arrange them according to their position in the carton. As compared to manual sorting, sorting robots can increase the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of the sorting mechanism.





3. Carton Shuttle(Quadron):-


It is a kind of mobile robot used to store and retrieve carton loads from a dense shelving carton storage system. It facilitates quick and easy movement of cartons within the racking system. Its key feature is a high-performance vertical lift. It is the first bot indigenously developed in India.

Until now, whatever I have read about the company, its robot manufacturing capacity will be huge in the coming future, which will further create more job opportunities for the unemployed citizen of the country.
